INTERNATIONAL COFFEE WEEK (ICW) is a gathering of all players in the coffee value chain, from producers to passionate coffee consumers. The event takes place in Belo Horizonte, capital of the largest coffee producing State in Brazil, and it offers countless activities to different professional profiles: B2B, Consumer Market or Education.
Monte Alegre Coffees will be present at the booth of BSCA – Brazilian Specialty Coffee Association (#E37), with special cupping at 3:00 p.m. on the 20th.
ORIGIN TRIPS OPPORTUNITIES
Brazilian coffees feature different hints of aromas and flavors due to regional differences in soil, climate, and altitude. These differences are also notable in production systems with highly mechanized farms in some regions, and others where coffee growing is predominantly family-oriented.
IWCA INTERNATIONAL MEETING AT THE BRAZIL ICW
For the first time, women from 12 countries will be at the IWCA’s meeting in the Great Auditorium, attending lectures, cupping sessions, award ceremonies and more. It is expected more than 700 attendees from different locations. This event is supported by IWCA Brasil – International Women Coffee Alliance from Brazil, with representatives of over 10 chapters from different links of the coffee value chain, from producers, entrepreneurs to baristas.
COFFEE OF THE YEAR AWARD
Coffee samples are sent by national producers throughout Brazil and cupped by national and international graders. The best 10 samples are tasted and voted by the ICW attendees and run for the Coffee of the Year Award.
