Monte Alegre Coffees has been involved since 2010 in an environmental project focused on the conservation of species in the South of Minas.
The study by the Amphibian Specialist Group (ASG) and IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) has shown that the coffee matrix is a strong ally in the conservation of frogs for the biome Of the Atlantic Forest, since the presence of coffee trees (plants with perennial characteristics) in the surroundings of forest fragments shelters the endangered fauna.
